For quite some time, I have been searching for a good nutrition chart for food. I was going to make one of my own, but once I started work on it, I realized how big of a task that was! So, I set out to find some good ones online. What I wanted was something that would tell me the best sources of a certain vitamin, mineral or other nutrient. Or, a chart that would tell me that if I ate broccoli, what nutrients I was getting.

Well, after searching through a bunch of online charts, I found some that I really like. If you’re deficient in a certain nutrient, this is a great place to start. For example, if you want to get more vitamin E in your diet, then you can start here and choose foods that are the best supply of this vitamin. While there are supplements out there for pretty much anything you could be deficient in, it’s still always best to get your nutrients from your food, rather than a pill bottle.

Here are the links to the nutrition charts:

Vitamins

Minerals

Fruits

Vegetables

Nuts & Seeds

Proteins

These charts are going to be a huge help for me and I am really excited to start using them. I know I am deficient on certain things, so this will give me the chance to eat a more well-rounded diet. I notice that it’s very easy for me to get in a food eating rut. No matter how healthy a food might be, it’s not good to get in a rut!

How do you ensure that you are eating a well-rounded diet every day?
