To me, green tea by itself is not all that exciting. That’s why I’ve paired it with a few zestier ingredients to kick up the flavor profile, along with the health benefits. Since this is a blend there will be much less caffeine in general. I personally enjoy 1 quart a day, sometimes as much as 2 quarts on hot days.

Green tea is loaded with antioxidants, as well as L-theanine. L-theanine is known to help reduce stress due to its relaxing properties. Dr. Kharrazian, the author of the popular “Why Do I Still Have Thyroid Symptoms When My Lab Tests Are Normal?” book, says that green tea helps to fire up the hormone lipase, which also helps to burn body fat. Green tea is a very balancing tea for the body as well.

Easy Revitalizing Summer Tonic :: Gluten-Free, Grain-Free, Dairy-Free, Refined Sugar-Free

Yield: 1 quart dry tea mix
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 5 minutes

If you love herbal tea and need a little afternoon pick-me-up, then this recipe is for you! It's so simple to whip up the dry tea mix and have it ready whenever you need to make a cup or a pitcher.


  1. Blend all together in a large bowl. Stir to combine.
  2. Pour into a glass jar or other airtight container (if using a mason jar, a wide-mouth funnel is helpful here).
  3. Use a heaping 1/2 cup to make 2 quarts of tea if you are going to make it iced.
  4. Add herbs to 2 quarts of hot water and steep for 3 minutes -no more!
  5. Or use 1 heaping teaspoon per 1 cup of water to have a cup of hot green tea.
  6. Enjoy!


If you do not prefer to use stevia, leave it out and use an alternative sweetener. I prefer no added sugar which is why I choose stevia.
