One of the coconut oils that I feed to my pets is Tropical Traditions’ Pure Coconut Oil. Recently, Tropical Traditions sent me a jar of this oil to sample and also give away to one of my readers. This is a high-quality, expeller-pressed coconut oil made in the Philippines. Like their Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil, it is made in rural areas, away from the big cities. The coconuts used for this oil are not sprayed with pesticides, plus, the oil is GMO-free and is not processed with any chemicals or bleaches like many refined coconut oils on the market today.
This coconut oil lives up to the high-quality that you expect from Tropical Traditions, however, it is a little easier on the grocery budget than their Gold Label or Green Label oils (which are still awesome, btw). This coconut oil has a neutral taste and is great for people who don’t like the taste or scent of coconuts, or those who want a plain oil for cooking. Also, it’s a nice option to have on hand when you want to use coconut oil but don’t need or want to use the more expensive Virgin Coconut Oils. This high-quality Pure Coconut Oil is a local brand in the Philippines, and Tropical Traditions is the only one exporting it to the US market.
