Traditional Tuesday’s Nutritious and Delicious Blog Carnival is for anything involving traditional foods. Recipes, techniques, tips, discussions on the hows and whys we do what we do, kitchen organization, appliances used, fitting traditional foods into your life and schedule, anything under the banner of traditional foods is wonderful. Posts, Facebook pages or websites on the politics of real foods and action alerts for individual states or topics are also welcome.

This blog carnival is hosted by:

This week, KerryAnn of Cooking Traditional Foods is choosing the top pics.

There were so many great posts last week that it was really hard to choose! Many thanks to each of you who enter your links week after week, you’re what makes Traditional Tuesdays so great.

In September, I hear the annual wail of “What do I put in the luncbox?!?” Fox in the Kitchen has a great post about On-The-Go Gluten-Free Lunch and Snack Ideas with a lot of good ideas to answer the lunchbox question. Plenty of links and recipes here to keep those lunchboxes full for many weeks to come.

Next up, we have a second lunchbox post. Authentic Simplicity has a great post on Easy Protein-Rich Snacks. Having protein in a snack is critical to keeping bellies full and happy and preventing blood sugar (and behavior) swings in both small folks and big folks. This post has plenty of ideas.

Finally, Simply Homemaking has a great tutorial on how to Make Your Own Crushed Red Pepper. I recently priced this at the grocery store and I was quite surprised to find out how expensive it is. It’s really easy to make at home.

Now, let’s get this week started!!
