We all know consuming copious amounts of sugar is bad for us, right? And soda, as tasty as it might be, is full of sugar, chemicals, artificial flavors, etc. Many people stop the soda, but switch to other sweet drinks that are “healthier”. However, before you pick up that glass of “fruit drink”, take a look at this. Juice drinks have just as much sugar as a soda (sometimes more), so they are definitely NOT a healthy substitute. This goes for regualr fruit juice too. A glass of apple juice is nearly 100% fructose, which has the same effect on the body as drinking a soda does. The best substitutes for sodas are water, tea, kombucha, water kefir, etc.
