Another week has passed. I am just a week and a half away from vacation! Woo Hooooo! Here are a few of the recipes that I found most interesting this week.
Panna Crudda – Recipe from Nina Planck that sounds heavenly. Simple, delicate and delicious! I can’t wait to try it!
Peppermint Cookies with Rich Chocolate Frosting – Looking for something to sooth that Peppermint Pattie craving? This will do the trick. The cookies are made with spelt flour, which I have never used before, to give them a light, airy texture.
Avocado Sardine Sandwich – I am trying to introduce sardines into my diet, but the couple attempts I have made recently have failed miserably. But, now that I find this, I thinking I’ll give it another go.
Kohlrabi Slaw – I’ve never used Kohlrabi before, mainly because I wasn’t sure what to do with it. But, now I know!
Carob Dipped Pecan Shortbread Cookies – I just stumbled across Amy Green’s blog, Simply Sugar & Gluten Free earlier this week and I am amazed at all the wonderful recipes on there. Eating healthy doesn’t have to be boring and everyone deserves a treat every now and then!
Super Sexy Borscht – Since I have been having a love affair with beets this year, I think this recipe is right up my alley. I’ve never eaten, let alone made, borscht, but there is a first time for everything, right?
