Don't Let Hashimoto's Ruin Your Life // deliciousobsessions.com

I hope you are having a FANTASTIC weekend! For the last week, I have been hanging out with my sister and her husband down in LA (that’s Lower Alabama, not the City of Angels).

I am still recuperating from a hectic August, but this vacation is just what I needed. Time away from work, the computer, and the hullabaloo of daily life. And, hanging with my sister is one of my most favorite things to do, so I am happy as a clam right now!

Today I want to talk to you about thyroid medications. Do you take thyroid medications?

I do. And I’m not thrilled about it.

When I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism back in 2007, I went on Synthroid because that is what my doctor said I should do. At the time, I trusted that my doctor knew best, so I filled my prescription and have been on it ever since. I really hope that I can one day go off of it (sooner, rather than later), but I also realize there is a chance I may not be able to. Only time will tell. If you do take thyroid medication, what kind do you take?

Speaking of Synthroid, in 2013, Synthroid (generic levothyroxine) was the top prescribed medication in the United States.

If you’re one of the people taking this medication, you may not just be hypothyroid, but instead you could have Hashimoto’s, which means the medication alone will not support you feeling you best. In fact, according to my friends and colleagues, experts in the field of thyroid health and producers of the free online Hashimoto’s Institute, 97% of people with low thyroid have Hashimoto’s, an autoimmune condition that affects the thyroid and is the leading cause of hypothyroidism in the developed world.

If you have Hashimoto’s, you’re not alone!

Statistics estimate that as many as 20% of people have circulating antibodies indicative of Hashimoto’s thyroiditis.

The conventional medical model does not offer much besides using synthetic medications, while patients are bombarded with inaccurate messages on the Internet.

Those trusted colleagues I mentioned are out to end the travesty of misinformation and potential mistreatment. Dr. Alan Christianson (the physician), Dr. Izabella Wentz (the pharmacist) and Andrea Nakayama (the nutritionist), all world-class experts in thyroid health, have joined forces and combined their clinical experiences and the latest emerging research on thyroid and immune health, and interviewed 24 of the top experts in health to create a plan for overcoming this condition, all presented in the free Hashimoto’s Institute, starting tomorrow (9/15) and running through the 22nd.

  • Andrea Nakayama will share the functional medicine approach to Hashimoto’s so you can learn to manage your Hashimoto’s.
  • Dr. Alan Christianson will talk about optimizing medications.
  • Dr. Izabella Wentz will share the importance of healing the gut in Hashimoto’s including her powerful gut healing protocols.
  • Additionally, Sara Ballantyne (The Paleo Mom), Tom Malterre, Donna Gates and Dr. Tom O’Bryan will guide you to finding the optimal diet to help reduce the impact of autoimmunity.

And that’s just the beginning. . .

You’ll learn what chronic infections could be causing the immune system to turn on itself and what you can do about them.

You’ll leave the event with clarity, finally knowing what you need to do to get your health back.

This week-long online event is carefully designed to help you get your health back! All of the content for the Hashimoto’s Institute will be free from September 15th-22nd. Sign up today to get your free bonuses and get started right away!

I really hope you will join me for this event. I know the info shared will change my life. And, I know that you or someone you know suffers from thyroid disease, and perhaps Hashi’s, so I hope you’ll sign up or encourage your loved ones to sign up. Knowledge is power and we don’t have to subject ourselves to years of poor health, just because our doctor doesn’t know how to treat us.

We deserve to live healthy, happy, VIBRANT lives and this event is the first step towards that.
