A little while back, I received a sampler pack from Artisana Organic Foods. I was so excited to try everything, because I had only ever tried their coconut oil and coconut butter. I had no idea that they had so many other products in addition to those two!
Artisana Organic Foods makes a variety of raw nut butters and coconut products. They offer more than just your standard almond butter. How about some Walnut Butter, Macadamia/Cashew Butter, or Pecan Butter? Major yum!
They hand select only the finest new harvest nuts and seeds for their butters. All of their products are made in small batches with very careful attention paid to food safety protocols. They use only 100% certified organic nuts, seeds, and coconut, so you don’t have to worry about pesticides, chemical residues, or GMOs in their products. They also don’t add any preservatives, stabilizers, or artificial ingredients. Their facility does not process any peanuts, gluten, dairy, or soy, so that is great news for those of us with food allergies.

Check Out the Goodies!
Let’s take a look at the goodies they sent me!
As you can see, I got a whole bunch of goodies, including:
1 jar of their Walnut Butter
1 jar of their Pecan Butter
1 packet each of their Walnut Butter, Pecan Butter, Almond Butter, Coconut Butter, Cashew Butter, Macadamia Cashew Butter, Cacao Bliss, and Coconut Oil.
My hubby was also very excited to see all of these goodies and also shared in some of the sampling. I had to make sure he didn’t sneak and eat all my samples before I could try!
Now, as most of you know, I do like to soak and dehydrate my nuts and seeds to reduce the phytic acid content. However, I do not always remember to do that and frankly, sometimes I’m too tired to deal with it, so I do purchase pre-made nut butters like Artisana. I’m OK with this, because (a) I don’t eat nuts every single day, (b) When I do, it’s not a lot, and (c) Sometimes, I just don’t have time to do everything that I need to do. I’m not perfect! Shocker, I know!
I really loved each and every flavor, but I have to say that the walnut butter, coconut butter, and macadamia nut butter were my faves. This actually works out well, because macadamia nuts are low in phytic acid, so they don’t require soaking and dehydrating. And, you also don’t need to worry about the phytic acid in coconuts. Hubby loves pretty much anything nut butter related, so he was a fan of it all.
The little individual serving packets are perfect for throwing in my purse. Sometimes I’m out and about and I forget to bring a snack, or maybe I’m at an appointment and it runs late. I keep a couple pouches of nut butters and/or coconut oil in my purse for a quick pick-me-up to keep my blood sugar from totally bombing out. Convenience is good sometimes! My local health food store has just recently started selling the little packets, so I am excited to have a local place to stock up.

These sound great! I never even knew there was such thing as walnut butter or macadamia butter. I’m gonna have to give these a try. Do you think Whole Foods would carry this brand?
I believe that they do. I know I’ve seen the jars there, but I’m sure they sell the packets too.
These products are great. Great source of protein and taste wonderful.
