If you’ve been online during the last few months, you’ve probably seen lots of information being shared about fermenting. The proper way, the improper ways, and everything in between. And, if you’re like most people, you might be feeling a bit overwhelmed and confused. I know I was. It took me months to get everything sorted out and once again feel comfortable with fermenting.

One thing that has helped grow my confidence is the lacotfermentation courses that Cooking Traditional Foods has created. It’s one thing to read information on a blog, but it’s totally different to actually watch a how-to video. I am a combination learner. I learn through reading first and demonstration second.  Seeing that most of my fermenting friends are in other states, it makes it hard to get that demonstration aspect into my learning process!

That is, until Cooking Traditional Foods put together these video eCourses! Their lactofermentation multimedia courses are “an-easy-to-follow course showing you everything you need to know about fermenting your own foods – and getting your kids (or hubby) to help you!” I added that “or hubby” part in there. I’m hopeful :)

They are awesome. Let me just say that these videos have helped me immensely. Everything from the basics of how to prepare brine and set up your Pickl-It jars, to actual demonstrations of how to make specific ferments like peach chutney and lacotfermented french fries! There have been so many times recently where I am fixing a ferment and I have that lingering thought in my head, “Am I doing this right?” Well, now I can hop online and find out! Plus, I have gotten some inspiration to try some recipes I would have not otherwise tried. KerryAnn makes the videos straight forward and easy to understand.

In addition to the lactofermentation classes, Cooking Traditional Foods has also created a separate set of classes, called Kitchens Resurrected: A Real Food Cooking School. Sometimes it just helps to get a refresher course on the basics. Or, if you’re new to cooking and real food, then this is the perfect primer for you. Kitchens Resurrected is “an Online Cooking School that de-mystifies real food cooking and shows you EXACTLY how to prepare healthy, delicious, un-processed meals easily – from the comfort of your own home!

Everything you need for preparing, healthy, homemade, nourishing, AND delicious foods for your family is right at your fingertips. With the eCourse videos, you can get step-by-step instructions on how to prepare certain foods, how to store and preserve, and more. In addition, you’ll get access to a video catalog of fruits, veggies, meat, kitchen equipment, recipes, and more.

I would highly recommend these courses to anyone who is just starting out cooking or fermenting. There is so much awesome information in there, plus new classes being added all the time. But, even if you’re a seasoned kitchen professional, I think you could find great value in the courses. I’ve been cooking and baking for many, many years, and I learn new things from KerryAnn all the time!
