Traditional Tuesday’s Nutritious and Delicious Blog Carnival is for anything involving traditional foods. Recipes, techniques, tips, discussions on the hows and whys we do what we do, kitchen organization, appliances used, fitting traditional foods into your life and schedule, anything under the banner of traditional foods is wonderful. Posts, Facebook pages or websites on the politics of real foods and action alerts for individual states or topics are also welcome.

This blog carnival is hosted by:

KerryAnn @ Cooking Traditional Foods
Adrienne @ Whole New Mom
Dawn @ Cultured Mama
And me, Jessica @ Delicious Obsessions

This week, Dawn from Cultured Mama picked her three favorite links from last week’s round up. It was a tough choice!

First was “Homemade Formula vs. Human Donor Milk” from Pickle Me Too.

Since I am about 4.5 weeks postpartum now, and struggled with supply issues with my first child, this topic has been near and dear to my heart lately, and I loved how Melanie handled such a huge (and sometimes divisive) topic. Fair, balanced, and full of good info!

Next was “Better than Bacon Pumpkin Seeds” from The Cookie Crumbles This Way.

Let’s face it,you had me at “bacon” but this simple recipe sounds SO GOOD, I will have to try it on he raw pumpkin seeds waiting in the
pantry.

Last but certainly not least, I was touched and enlightened by The Prairie Homestead’s post, “The Hard Part of Homesteading.”

As a Future Homesteader of America, I know the day will come when it will be required of me to process my own meat. I hope I don’t get so attached that I can never do the deed, but also never so calloused that I do not honor the life that was lived and given.
